So the big excitement tonight was a 2 hour break to do laundry, and boy did I need it, my uniform was strong enough to stand on it's own.
16-18 hour days have been the norm, hope to ratchet it down this weekend to 8 hour days.
Army chow has not improved over the years. I haven't been hungry enough, or motivated enough to walk the 20 minutes to have breakfast at 6 in the morning. MRE'S have much fancier menu selections but rarely taste much better than cardboard.
Hot and muggy is the norm here, but we have been blessed with a lite breeze most days. All in all, we are adjusting to the new norm and morale is fairly good.
